On Tuesday, the much-awaited teaser of Oh My God 2 was finally dropped by the makers and in no time Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi became the talk of the town on social media. Oh My God 2 is the sequel to Akshay Kumar's blockbuster movie which was released in 2012. In the first part, Paresh Rawal portrayed the character of Kanji Bhai who was an atheist, while in Oh My God 2, fans will be witnessing Pankaj Tripathi playing the character of a theist and a staunch follower of Lord Shiva. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar played the role of God especially Lord Krishna in its prequel, while in OMG 2, Khiladi Kumar seems to be playing the character of Mahadev Lord Shiva.

However, it was Akshay Kumar's portrayal of Lord Shiva which indeed gave goosebumps to fans along with a great background score. Basically, OMG 2 teaser introduces fans to the character of the movie played by Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam. While OMG was directed by Umesh Shukla, the second installment of the film has been helmed by Amit Rai. Talking about the characters, Yami Gautam will play a lawyer in the film, Pankaj Tripathi is a firm believer in God. Oh My God 2 will be released in theaters on August 11.

Notably, Oh My God 2 will clash with Sunny Deol's much-awaited movie Gadar 2 at the box office. Both OMG 2 and Gadar 2 are among the most awaited sequels of 2023. However, their clash at the box office might depreciate the movies' earnings. Although both movie's storylines are completely different, at the end of the day, word of mouth and fan base will be the factor to decide which movie will edge past whom.
