The warning for severe tornado turned reality for USA's Oklahoma as the severe wind wreaked havoc in multiple regions including south of Norman. On Sunday, Oklahoma was shaken by a tornado that overturned light vehicles as well as heavy vehicles in the States. Now, multiple Oklahoma tornado videos are doing rounds on social media and shows the wind was so strong that even 18-wheeler trucks were overturned on the highways. As per reports, the Oklahoma tornado winds were recorded at an excess of 70-80 mph and it was estimated that it will go beyond 100 mph. Damage was reported in many areas. To be precise, a tornado was confirmed just northwest of Hobart at about 7:45 p.m. (US time) and reports indicated that there has been damage in Cheyenne. A video was shared on Twitter showing multiple 18-wheeler trucks overturned on the highway south of Norman. A user shared the video and wrote, "Several 18 wheelers have overturned south of Norman, OK following 80-100 mile wind gusts.. Scanners reporting multiple casualties due to tornados near Norman, Oklahoma…" Another user shared a video in which many four-wheelers and SUVs were seen over turned and damaged by the strong tornado. Another video shows how Oklahoma tornado ripped apart trees and jammed the highways.

Till 11:30 PM, tornado warning was issued in places like Hughes, Pontotoc, and Lincoln County. Not only this, Severe Thunderstorm warning were issued for Hughes County, Okfuskee County, Hughes, Lincoln, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie and Seminole County. There have been reports of injuries, but as of 10:30 pm (US Time), no confirmation of any fatalities were received.

How to shield yourself in Oklahoma Tornado?

1) Go to the basement or an inside room without windows on the lowest floor (bathroom, closet, center hallway).

2) If possible, avoid sheltering in any room with windows.

3) For added protection get under something sturdy (a heavy table or workbench). Cover your body with a blanket, sleeping bag or mattress. Protect your head with anything available.

5)If you are outside or in a mobile home, find a nearby building, preferably with a basement. If you are in a car, do not try to outrun a tornado, but instead find the nearest sturdy building.
