In the Oklahoma boy rescue video, it can be seen the mother suffered a sudden seizure while she was in the swimming pool and started to drown. Noticing this, the boy runs towards the spool and dives into it in order to save his mother. The boy then holds his mother and tries to swim back to the end so that he can pull out his mother from drowning. Fortunately, the Oklahoma boy's father, who lives next door, quickly arrived and pulled them out. Reportedly, the boy's name is Gavin Keeney and the incident took place on August 5. Speaking to a US media outlet, Gavin had said, "I heard what was a lot of splashing and moving around. I heard kind of yelling, but also drowning. So, then I looked and saw her seizing. And so I went and jumped in and got her back to the ladder."

Gavin's mother name is Lori Keeney who first shared the video on her Facebook saying, "One of my worst nightmares came to life this morning. I'm very hesitant to share this video. As I've shared before, I don't like for people to witness when I have a seizure so for all my friends and family here...know this was very, very hard for me to watch as I've never seen myself nor have I seen Gavin in action. I have security cameras up that captured this and I'm just sharing a brief part... it maybe rough for some to see but y'all...LOOK AT MY BABY SAVING MY LIFE...literally saving my life."

"Gavin had just got out of the pool and was on the porch and that's when he heard me. He jumped in...the dog even tried to get in..he gets me over to the ladder and then my Dad runs in . I'm okay, I took in just a little water we think before Gavin got me. I can't believe I just said that. I can't believe I'm typing this. I CAN believe what I saw in Gavin, my little hero. I just can't believe he HAD to do it and that's what breaks my heart. Thank you God for putting this wonderful little human into my life. (please no judgment for being in the pool in the first place...a person can only live with so much guilt)," added Lori.

Furthermore, Lori talking to a US media stated that she never swims alone and Gavin had just gone out of the pool when she suffered seizure. "I was told later that he never asked for help. My dad, who lives next door, heard the dogs barking and he ran out and jumped in as Gavin held me on the ladder and kept my head above water, Lori said.
