Omar greets people; hopes to see lesser sufferings in 2019

Srinagar: Wishing people a very happy New Year, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed hope that there will be less bloodshed, suffering, paid and less sadness in 2019.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the Vice President of the National Conference (NC) Omar said “2018 didn't turn out quite the way I'd hoped but it had its moments so I'm not complaining and there's always 2019..Here's wishing all of you a very #HappyNewYear2019”

He said, “I hope 2019 is the year we see peace begin to return to the valley, may we see less bloodshed, less suffering, less pain & less sadness. May darkness be replaced by the promise of a better tomorrow.”
