On eve of Republic Day, MHA announces names of Punjab Police officials for PPMDS, PMMS awards

Two Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGsP) rank officers have been selected for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, including ADGP Law & Order Naresh Kumar and ADGP Intelligence Amardeep Singh Rai.

Recognizing the outstanding services of the Punjab Police, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India (GOI), on the eve of 73rd Republic Day announced the names of the Punjab Police officers/officials, to be awarded President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMDS) and Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PMMS).

Two Additional Director Generals of Police (ADGsP) rank officers have been selected for the President's Police Medal for Distinguished Service, including ADGP Law & Order Naresh Kumar and ADGP Intelligence Amardeep Singh Rai.

While, an IPS officer Commissioner of Police (CP) Amritsar Sukhchain Singh Gill, DIG Special Task Force Sanjeev Kumar Rampal, and four PPS officers including Commandant PRTC Jahan Khelan Harpreet Singh Mander, SP Investigation Hoshiarpur Ravinder Pal Singh, ACP Headquarters Jalandhar Subhash Chandar Arora and Deputy Superintendent (Security) District Jail Rupnagar are among 15 Police Officers/Officials who have been selected for the Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The remaining officials include Inspector Shaminder Singh, Inspector Onkar Singh Brar, Inspector Jagpreet Singh, Lady Inspector Balwinder Kaur, SI Arun Kumar, ASI Sandeep Kumar, ASI Gurmukh Singh, and ASI Amrik Chand.

Director-General of Police (DGP) Punjab VK Bhawra congratulated the awardees and encouraged the Police Force to work with more dedication and devotion.
