However, during this time, various social media platforms have been flooded with fake or false videos or information related to the operation.
Here is the truth behind a few of such viral videos:
1 A viral video shows that some residential areas have been bombed during Operation Sindoor.

However, the detailed investigation revealed that this video was shared by a social media account by Kabul News on October 23, 2023.
The video is showcasing the situation in Gaza due to intensified bombing by Israel. At that time, the video was captioned in Urdu, which loosely translates to “Israel intensified the bombing of Gaza last night. According to Palestinian media reports, 400 people, including women and children, died in last night's bombing, and hundreds of people are still trapped under collapsed buildings.”
Recently, the video was shared by Indian journalist Rubika Liyaquat.

The video shared was not linked to the ‘Operation Sindoor’; therefore, the fact related to the viral video was false.
2 Another such video has gone viral on social media, which shows that people are running to save their lives during continuous bombing. This type of video has been shared by multiple users claiming that people are suffering due to Operation Sindoor.
Truth:
This video, as well, is from an Israeli attack on Hamas, which was carried out near the Indonesian hospital in Gaza.

This video was shot during Iran’s missile attack on Israel on October 1, 2024. The fact was confirmed with the help of a similar video posted by the New York Post on its YouTube channel on October 2, 2024.
