Farmers protest: Opposition parties come in support of agitating farmers at Tikri border

Presently, farmers are protesting at the Delhi-Haryana borders in Tikri.

Opposition parties have come in support of thousands of farmers protesting against the newly passed farm laws at the Delhi-Haryana border in Tikri.  The opposition parties have come forward to help the protesters by arranging food and other essential items for them.

The Aam Aadmi Party and the Delhi Congress have made arrangements to provide food and other essential things to the farmers, who have been protesting on the Delhi-Haryana border for the last six days since.

On November 26, farmers from Punjab and Haryana started marching towards Delhi and reached the Tikri border on 27 November. 

Besides catering food packets and other necessary goods to the farmers, AAP's volunteers from Mundka assembly constituency have established a camp at the protest place in Tikri for the farmers so that they can rest. 

Meanwhile, Delhi Congress chief Anil Chaudhary visited had visited the protesting site with his supporters and distributed milk and milk products to the farmers and after communicating with them, he assured them of every possible help from him and his party. 

The Congress leader said, "I have come here to support the cause of the farmers. We will stand with the farmers till the time the government does not repeal the three farm laws."

Chaudhary also criticised the central government for pushing the farmers to such an extent and forced them to protest on the streets for the last seven days.

Apart from the opposition parties, various other village groups have also lent their assistance to the agitating farmers at the Tikri border. 

The groups are giving the protesters with vegetables and other edible products.

The protesting farmers are demanding to repeal the three new agricultural bill and a guarantee of minimum support price (MSP) for their produce.

A discussion between the farmers' bodies and the government on Tuesday ended inconclusively while the next round of talks is scheduled for Thursday.
