A shocking incident has been caught on camera where a woman can be seen pushing a 3-year-old child off the platform on the railway track as other passengers watch by.

The incident of the video which is reported from Oregon is immensely going viral on social media that has led to the arrest of a woman.

The toddler had been unwittingly standing next to her mother on Portland’s Gateway Transit Center MAX platform when the ruthless attack took place, video shows.

In the video, a 32-year-old woman Brianna Lace Workman can be seen sitting behind the mother-child duo suddenly getting up and pushing the child who was standing facing the track. According to the footage and the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office. The girl, who was standing just beyond the white caution line, hit the floor first and slid over the edge head-first.

In a statement related to the incident, Mike Schmidt Multnomah County’s District Attorney said, “The child landed face-first onto the metal rail and rocks before being quickly rescued from the train tracks.”

Fortunately, no major accident occurred due to the incident as the toddler shortly gets back to sit while the good Samaritans jumped up to rescue her. The child later complained of a severe headache with a small red mark on the forehead.

Workman was hit with a slew of charges Thursday, which includes the charges of first and third-degree attempted assault interfering with public transportation, second-degree disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering another person. The attorney further in the report while interacting with the media confirmed that the toddler did nothing to provoke the attack.
