Shahid Kapoor fans are in for a treat as the brilliant veteran actor returns, this time as an action hero is ‘Bloody Daddy’. The film is slated for release on the 9th of July on Jio Cinema. The highly regarded Bollywood actor gave a candid interview at the announcement of the release date. He told the media that he had an incredible time shooting an action movie, which is not his usual genre. Despite the challenges presented due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he spoke of the professionalism and skill of the stunt crew who made the experience a unique one for him. Kapoor explained that the pandemic made it hard for the crew to get Visas, as they come from London and Hollywood. He said that his experience as a dancer since the age of 15, helped him memorize the action choreography quickly.

The movie itself is based on ‘Nuit Blanche’, a hit action movie in France. It is directed by action expert Ali Abbas Zaffar, who was previously involved in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. The announcement of the movie was made at an event for Infinite Together, a subsidiary of Jio Studios and was produced in association with Zaffar’s AAZ Films, Offside Entertainment and the Vermillion World.

The movie also includes noted stars like Ronit Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal and Sanjay Kapoor. Shahid Kapoor’s take on the action in the movie was an interesting one. He said that the shooting was high paced and he lost almost one kg each day. This made it hard for him to look as buff as was expected off him. He also added that this made his diet an important factor, as he had to keep his weight up. He also made a reference to Tiger Shroff, saying how impressed he was at his ability to manage his physique, considering all the action he does. The 42-year-old actor also spoke highly of Ali Abbas Zaffar, calling him one of the best action directors in the business.
