Two workers were crushed by an over-speeding truck on Ludhiana's Jawaddi Bridge on Monday morning. One died on the spot while the other is seriously injured. The truck driver flew away after the accident. Both the victims were taken to a private hospital.

The police have taken possession of the truck whereas the truck driver is yet to be caught. According to reports both the workers were going to work in the morning while crossing the Jawaddi Bridge with their cycles they were unable to judge the speed of the truck and the truck hit them from behind. One died on the spot while the other is in critical condition.
According to Dugri Police Station SSP Malkit Singh, the police has taken possession of the truck. A search is going on for the driver and he will be caught soon.
