P Chidambaram slams PM, Union Health Minister over current Covid crisis

Due to the current Covid-19 situation in the country, Congress leader P. Chidambaram slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan.

On Friday, P. Chidambaram criticized PM Modi and Health Minister Harsh Vardhan for "not owning responsibility", said that the Covid-19 situation in the country has turned from bad to worse. 

The former Union Minister tweeted, "The pandemic situation is going from bad to worse. The insufficient supply of vaccines is a hard, bitter truth, but the government is in denial. In Tamil Nadu, not all among 45+ are getting the first dose and small number the second dose and no one between 18 to 44 is getting the vaccine."

He also tweeted, "The situation in other states is not very different. The PM and the Health Minister refused to own responsibilities and are making a mockery of democratic principles."

As per the statics in the latest data, the total consumption including wastages is 16,44,77,100 doses and more than 90 lakh doses are still available with the states/UTs Administration.
