As normalcy is returning to India and Pakistan after both countries reached to ceasefire understanding, social media is on a buzz over Pakistan Nuclear Leak and Pakistan Nuclear Leak Radiation. Pakistan Nuclear Leak or Pakistan Nuclear Radiation has become a matter of discussion on social media. It is claimed that Pakistan's nuclear facility, which was made on the Kirana Hills, received significant damage after an Indian Missile exploded near it.

Social media is filled with videos with the claim that a thick black smoke was witnessed over Kirana Hills. In the viral videos, it is also claimed that nearby villages have been asked to evacuate, and Pakistani officials have started their work to contain the nuclear radiation that has started to leak.

Did the US intervene after India struck Pakistan's nuclear facility?

There are unverified social media claims that the United States intervened after Pakistani authorities reached out to them, informing them about the Kirana Hills Nuclear Leak. Due to a strike on a Pakistani nuclear facility, Islamabad reached out to Washington, informing them about the development. After the nuclear facility was damaged, Islamabad allegedly informed Washington that it was considering a nuclear strike on India, however, neither the US, Pakistan, nor India has confirmed these conspiracy theories revolving around the internet.

However, US President Donald Trump, in his media briefing, informed that due to his intervention, a possible nuclear war was averted. Notably, Pakistan has always blackmailed and threatened India with nuclear attacks. Over this, PM Modi in his address to the nation made it clear that New Delhi will no longer tolerate nuclear blackmail. The mention of nuclear by all three parties- the US, Pakistan, and India has fanned the conspiracy theory on the internet.

Pakistan Nuclear Radiation leak theory was intensified after a document labeled 'Radiological Safety Bulletin', allegedly from the Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, dated 13 May 2025, surfaced on the internet. It alleges a confirmed radiation leak at a facility located in Northern Pakistan, attributing the incident to a mechanical failure during the transfer of an Indium-192 capsule used for non-destructive testing (NDT).

However, the letter by the Pakistan Government was termed fake by Pakistani social media users and a few media outlets.

What did the Indian Air Force say about striking Kirana Hills?

During the question-and-answer session, a journalist asked that social media is on a buzz that we hit a site called Kirana Hills, which was a nuclear storage facility. There are rumors about Sargodha. Some foreign analysts have mentioned that the Sargodha attacks led to certain leaks. Is there any confirmation that India hit Kirana Hill?

Debunking the claims, Air Marshal AK Bharti took a dig and said, "Thank you for telling us that Kirana Hill houses some nuclear installations. We did not know this. We have not hit Kirana Hills, whatever is there. I did not brief it in my briefing that was yesterday."

In a pre-dawn operation on May 10, the Indian Air Force (IAF) struck 11 military sites deep inside Pakistan using air-launched precision weapons. The targets included critical airbases in Rafiqui, Murid, Nur Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, Chunian, Pasrur, and Sialkot.
