Indian Army gives it back to Pakistan for violating ceasefire on LoC

Jammu: Pakistani Army on Thursday, in a yet another incident of ceasefire violation again fired unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Indian Army effectively retaliated to the firing.

“Pakistani Army this morning at around 0915 hrs fired small arms in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri”, defence spokesman said.

Pakistan continues its appalling activities along the LoC and on Wednesday evening also at about 1600 hrs, they initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by small arms fire and also shelling with mortars in Mendhar Sector of Poonch, said the spokesman.

Earlier on January 20, Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire along the International Border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua while BSF troops responded by limited fire.

On January 18 also Pakistan fired small arms and violated the ceasefire on the IB. Earlier, on January 15, a BSF jawan attained martyrdom in sniper shot from across the border along the IB in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.

Pakistani Army has also opened the front along the LoC and firing unprovoked for the past two weeks in Poonch and Rajouri sectors.

Northern Command Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh had recently said that five Pakistani soldiers were killed and some injured some by the Indian Army in retaliation along the LoC over the last few days.
