Pakistan bans Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) with India's rising diplomatic pressure

Sources said that the decision was taken by the National Security Committee (NSC) led by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office on Thursday.

Pulwama Terror Attack Hafiz Saeed Imran Khan

With India's rising diplomatic pressure on Pakistan, Imran Khan led government has on Thursday banned the mastermind of 2008 Mumbai attack Hafiz Saeed's Jamaat-ud-Dawa and its charity wing Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation after the Pulwama terror attack.

Sources said that the decision was taken by the National Security Committee (NSC) led by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan at his office on Thursday.

"It was decided during the meeting to accelerate action against proscribed organizations," said the spokesperson of the Interior Ministry.

"It was further decided that Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation be notified as proscribed organizations by the Ministry of Interior," he added.

This has come as a result of intensification of efforts against Pakistan by the Indian diplomacy as Pakistan is already on the grey list by the FATF and has been warned that it may further be downgraded if it doesn't act against the terror activities breeding on its soil.
