Pakistan, which is infamously known as the 'master of denial', recently confessed that India hit the Nur Khan Air Base situated in Rawalpindi. For the unversed, India, in retaliation for Pakistan's escalation, targeted the country's multiple air bases, including the Nur Khan Airbase, which is said to be one of the most important for the Pakistan Armed Forces. While India's DGMO presented satellite images showcasing India gave a befitting reply to Pakistan's escalation, including damaging Nur Khan Airbase. The 'master of denial' never accepted, and instead, the people of Pakistan started celebrating the so-called victory over India.

With India and Pakistan having reached a temporary ceasefire understanding, slowly and steadily, the truth is prevailing, and Pakistan's fantasy bubble of defeating India is bursting. This can be understood by the fact that Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has admitted to India’s precision missile strike on the Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi and other sites, revealing that Army chief General Asim Munir personally called him at 2:30 am on the intervening night of May 9 and 10 to inform him about the attack during the Operation Sindoor.

Amit Malviya, the head of BJP's National IT Department and Co-incharge of West Bengal, emphasised the gravity of the moment, saying that Sharif himself acknowledged the bombing of Nur Khan Air Base and other locations. He described the event as a testament to the boldness and efficiency of Operation Sindoor.

"Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif himself admits that General Asim Munir called him at 2:30 a.m. to inform him that India had bombed Nur Khan Air Base and several other locations. Let that sink in -- the Prime Minister was woken up in the middle of the night with news of strikes deep inside Pakistan. This speaks volumes about the scale, precision, and boldness of "Operation Sindoor," Malviya wrote on Friday on his official X account.

Initiated in response to a Pakistan-backed terror attack in Pahalgam, the operation saw India launch decisive airstrikes against key Pakistani military installations, including Nur Khan Air Base in Rawalpindi.

Why is Nur Khan Airbase significant for Pakistan?

Located just 10 km from Pakistan's capital Islamabad, the Nur Khan air base is a critical logistical centre for the Pakistani military, which also plays a major role as a transportation hub. Seated near Pakistan’s Strategic Plans Division, which oversees and protects the country’s nuclear arsenal, Nur Khan also hosts PAF College – a training college – and Fazaia Inter College Nur Khan. It also surrounds Benazir Bhutto International Airport.
