Pakistan working hard to promote trade ties with regional countries; India also among them

CPEC, Relations with Iran on focus

Islamabad, Dec 25: The Pakistan government, led by Imran Khan, is making all possible efforts to revive their national economy and desires to promote trade with all the regional countries including India.

“For the promotion of trade, cooperation of private section in the ongoing projects under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be encouraged.” said Pakistan Foreign Minister Asad Umar.

The Pakistani Foreign Minister was addressing the traders and businessmen at Chamber of Commerce and Industries in Quetta, on Monday.

Pakistan is also set to work out a comprehensive strategy to enhance the volume of trade with brother Muslim country, Iran. Projects to establish Special Economic and Export Processing Zones in Gwadar are also being executed and the federal government would extend the fullest cooperation to Balochistan provincial government in resolving the problems.

He also said that the government is working to decrease reliance on US Dollar and conduct trade with the friendly countries in their respective currency.
