Amritsar, India - In a daring incident at the India-Pakistan border, Indian soldiers successfully thwarted the intrusion of a Pakistani drone. Despite firing shots at the drone, it managed to escape towards the Pakistani side. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Lopoke Police Station, with the operation led by the Border Security Force’s (BSF) 22nd Battalion, commanded by Deputy Inspector General B.O.P. Ramkot.

During the operation, authorities discovered a substantial haul of narcotics. Five packets, suspected to contain heroin, were seized from a larger packet found nearby. Local authorities have initiated a thorough search in the surrounding areas to gather more evidence and locate any potential accomplices or additional contraband.

The BSF Battalion, in close collaboration with local law enforcement agencies, continues to maintain a vigilant presence along the border to prevent illegal activities and safeguard national security. This incident serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by security forces in countering cross-border threats.

Authorities are coordinating efforts to investigate the drone infiltration and trace its origin, aiming to prevent future attempts and bring those responsible to justice. The seizure of the heroin packets highlights the persistent issue of drug trafficking in the region, necessitating enhanced measures to combat this menace.

The successful interception and subsequent operations demonstrate the effectiveness of coordinated efforts between defense forces and law enforcement agencies in safeguarding the nation’s borders. The incident has once again underscored the importance of continuous surveillance and vigilance in maintaining border security and preventing illegal activities.
