The Indo-Pak border infiltration attempt, which was intercepted by security personnel late last night, culminated in the capture of a suspected Pakistani infiltrator located in the Bamiyal sector near Pathankot.
As per government documentation, Border Security Force (BSF) members noticed particular activity within the Indian borders and quickly moved to capture the suspect, who was walking close to the border fence.
The BSF placed the suspected person under initial questioning, which was necessary under the circumstances at that location.
In accordance with the operational protocols, the uncovered ‘infiltrator’ was transferred to Narot Jaimal Singh police station, where they would be subjected to more detailed interviews from security bodies.
An investigation is underway to identify the purpose of cross-border infiltration. Officials suspected existence of any connections to pipelines for terror smuggling.
Measures taken to control movement along the border are still under review while new probes are being launched. High-level officials have reported that all agencies involved are in collaboration towards attaining the utmost security around the area.
