In an absolute shocker, a speeding Scorpio car ran over a cyclist in Punjab’s Patiala. The accident was so brutal that cyclist’s head got cut off during the accident. The family members of the deceased have got a complaint registered against the accused.
Reportedly, on Friday night a heart-wrenching accident took place. As per information, a speeding Scorpio collided with a cyclist on the road during which victim’s head got cut off. Despite this, the car driver did not stop the vehicle and fled away from there. The family of the deceased got a complaint registered against the accused.
On doing the preliminary investigation, police revealed that deceased identified as Navdeep Kumar a resident of Tafjjalpura in Patiala was returning home around 10 pm on a cycle. Meanwhile, a white Scorpio came from behind and hit him on Nabha Road. The young man's torso lay there but his head got cut off.
Further investigation revealed that the white Scorpio was being driven by a person named Sukhman Singh, a resident of Sidhu Colony in Patiala. Police informed that Sukhman was driving the vehicle and had two other boys along with him inside the car at the time of the accident. The brother of deceased alleged that accused was involved in a car race when they hit his brother from back. He has also put allegations that they have taken deceased’s head along with them so that identification cannot be done.
Patiala Police DSP Jaswinder Tiwana said that in the initial investigation, it seems like deceased head got stuck under the vehicle and was then thrown away by the accused. Police have also found footage of the incident.
