In a major development, Amritsar-based social media influencer Deepika Luthra deactivated her social media account after receiving death threats. As per reports, Deepika Luthra had received threats from Amritpal Meharon and Babar Khalsa International. On the other hand, the Amritsar Police have arrested an accused who threatened Deepika Luthra from Patiala. The man who threatened Deepika has been identified as Ramandeep Singh.
A few days back, Deepika had sought Police protection after Amritpal Mehron, the prime accused in Kamal Kaur Bhabhi's murder case, took her name and issued death threats. As a result, Deepika has been given two gunmen by the Police Commissionerate. Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that after Deepika's complaint, the police started the investigation. After which, the police reached Ramandeep Singh.
Ramandeep Singh is not very educated. Ramandeep in his statement to the Police, reportedly said that everyone was threatening Deepika, so he also threatened her for fame. The police have started investigating his mobile. It is expected that some more arrests may be made in the coming days in the case of threatening Deepika.
Deepika Luthra-Amritpal Singh Mehron controversy
Actually, Amritpal Meharon has threatened to kill Deepika due to the double-meaning content. At the same time, a threatening e-mail was also been sent to her from Babar Khalsa International. On Deepika's complaint, the police have registered a case against Amritpal Meharon in the Cyber Cell police station.
On the other hand, Deepika Luthra says that she used to make double-meaning content earlier, but when Amritpal Singh Mehron warned her, she also apologized to him. But now he is targeting her again. For the unversed, Deepika is a resident of Amritsar. She has studied till Class 10th. She belongs to a middle-class family. Deepika has been active on the digital platform for the last 5 years.
