While the entire India is in a festive mood due to Diwali 2022, Patiala's Punjab University came under the scanner of social media after a purported video went viral showing used syringes and empty vials in a washroom. Patiala Punjab University video has been going viral on social media with netizens in shock by the visuals circulating. Many pointed out that it was in Patiala's Punjab University where CM Bhagwant Mann's 'Kheda Watan Punjab Diyan' (Sports Event) was being organized.
In the Patiala Punjab University video, it can be seen multiple used syringes and empty vials inside the washroom. In the video, the man taking the video can be heard saying that this is Punjab University. However, True Scoop cannot authenticate the video when it was shot, however, it was shared by a journalist saying that used syringes and empty vials in the bathroom of Patiala Punjab University.

Despite the continuous efforts of the Punjab government and Police administration, cases related to people under the influence of drugs or youth dying because of drug overdose do not seem to have an end.
