Pawandeep, Indian idol 12 winner, confesses ‘was not feeling great’ after bagging trophy

On Sunday night, Pawandeep Rajan won the trophy of Indian Idol 12. He also won a car, prize money of Rs 25 lakh.

On Sunday night, Pawandeep Rajan was announced Indian Idol season 12 winner, he bagged a trophy, a car and prize money of Rs 25 lakh. Fans cherished the win of Pawandeep, on the other hand, he said that he had a mixed feeling after winning the trophy as everyone deserves to win. 


Last night, Pawandeep Rajan won the trophy and Arunita Kanjilal and Sayli Kamble were declared first and second runners-up respectively and got a cheque of Rs 5 lakh each. Mohd Danish and Nihal Tauro were declared as the third and the fourth runners-up, respectively and won a cheque of Rs 3 lakh each.

While speaking to the media website BollywoodLife, the Indian Idol 12 winner said, “I was feeling very nice. All six of us were there and our families were present. I wanted everyone to win as everyone deserved to win. But now I have the trophy and it is my responsibility now and will do it well. I have got everyone's support and I will handle this responsibility well.”


“I was not able to understand anything at that moment. Everything was like a dream and everyone had picked me up after I won. And I was just thinking how did this happen. There are things in life that happen instantly and you cannot understand anything,” he continued


He further congratulated the runners-up and said, “I just want to congratulate them all for being the runner-ups. They all are winners and I am going to give the trophy to everyone for one month and even the car. Everyone can drive the car as everyone is the winner and we are all going to stay together now and work together. This was a format of the show that completed and now in future we all will be together.”

Sony TV announced the winner on the micro-blogging site and wrote, “Jinki kismat mein likhi thi jeet, jinke taaron mein likha tha khitaab, unn Pawandeep ko jeet ka salaam! CONGRATULATIONS Pawandeep Rajan for the epic win, you have made history! India loves you!!!”


Six participants, Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Nihal Tauro, Sayli Kamble, Mohd Danish and Shanmukhapriya reached the finale and fought for the trophy last night. 
It was the longest-running Grand Finale of a singing reality show, it was aired from 12 am to 12 pm on Sunday. The Finale was attended by judges of the show - Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik and Sonu Kakkar, Shershah actors – Kiara Advani and Siddharth Malhotra and special guests - Great Khali, Alka Yagnik, Sukhwinder Singh, Mika Singh, Amit Mishra, Kumar Sanu, Javed Ali, and Udit Narayan.
