Swara Bhasker has never refrained from voicing her thoughts on social media and often sparks a controversy with her tweets. In her latest Twitter post, Swara has expressed her thoughts on Taliban taking control of Afghanistan and this has not gone down well with netizens. Her viewpoint, on the other hand, has enraged the Twittersphere.
Swara Bhasker had compared Afghanistan's situation with that of India.
"We can’t be okay with Hindutva terror & be all shocked & devastated at Taliban terror... & We can’t be chill with #Taliban terror, and then be all indignant about #Hindutva terror! Our humanitarian & ethical values should not be based on the identity of the oppressor or oppressed," she tweeted.
The fact that she identified the word "terror" with "Hindutva" made her a subject of hate. Thousands of people are now asking for her arrest on Twitter.
"#ArrestSwaraBhasker for defaming our religion, making false allegations, spreading haterate & anger among public on social media & hurting ones religious & ideological sentiments," wrote a Twitter user.
"Sir, @CPMumbaiPolice @MumbaiPolice @MahaCyber1 She has been targeting and given the name of terror to Hindutva, due to which our religious beliefs have been hurt. Pls take action #arrestswarabhasker," read another tweet.
