“People of Nagaland making rich contributions,” says PM Modi on Nagaland Statehood Day

Nagaland is a state in north-eastern India. It became the 16th state of the country on 1 Dec, 1963.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wishes people of Nagaland on their statehood day. He shared a post on his social media account to send good wishes to Nagaland’s residents.

 

He made a tweet in which he wrote, “On the special occasion of Nagaland’s Statehood Day, greetings to the wonderful people of the state. Naga culture personifies valour and humane values. The people of Nagaland are making rich contributions to India’s growth. I pray for Nagaland’s progress in the years to come."


 

Nagaland is a state in north-eastern India. It became the 16th state of the country on 1 Dec, 1963. It is known for its Horn bill Festival, this festival is celebrated every year from 1st December to 10th December at kisama heritage village.

 

Nagaland is the house of many tribes. Each tribe has its own unique traditions, costumes and language.

 

On the statehood day of Nagaland many other Ministers congratulated the people of the state through tweets. Our country's Home Minister Amit Shah also tweeted, "Gratitude to our sisters & brother of Tripura for choosing BJP in the Local Body Elections. The results are a clear testimony of people’s unwavering trust in BJP’s politics of development. This will further strengthen our resolve to serve the great land of Maa Tripura Sundari."

Nagaland's 70% of the economy depends on agriculture and the major crops include rice, corn, pulses, tobacco etc. 'Bhut Jolokia' World's hottest chilli pepper is also from Nagaland. It is also recorded in the Guinness Book of World Record. The diversity of tribes, the historical significance and the wildlife of the state make it attraction center of attraction for local as well as international tourists.
