Shocking case of sacrilege was reported from Mansoorpur Village of Phillaur where the whole Gurudwara Sahib was vandalized by the accused and Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was also desecrated. A video of the incident has surfaced on social media platforms.
Reportedly, a miscreant entered into the gurudwara to seek blessing but instead vandalized the whole area and desecrated the holy book kept there. The video that surfaced shows how badly everything has been destroyed inside the Gurudwara, not only this but tobacco was also spilled in the area where Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is kept. Soon after people noticed the sacrilege, the accused was caught by them and beaten for doing the same. Jalandhar Rural police has registered a case against accused and he is under police custody.
Prior to this, a similar case of sacrilege was reported from Jalandhar. The incident took place at Sheikhan Bazar Gurughar where Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji kept in Gurdwara Sahib of Sheikhan Bazar was desecrated by someone who came near it and then spilt milk all over it. Soon after this incident, sangat present there caught the young man and thrashed him for the same.
