Young people are dying from intoxication or overdose in the same way they used to, but now it is critical that people become more aware of the dangers of drugs. People are now speaking out against drugs. People of Dhuleta village, Phillaur sub-division, Jalandhar, fed up with narcotics, closed the police station in the village as a result.

The death of a young man in the village due to intoxication sparked outrage among the locals. People were enraged by the fact that the village has a police station, yet why are drug traffickers not being apprehended in the village? People's residences in the village have been locked due to intoxication.

Many homes have been destroyed as a result of drug addiction. Drugs were allegedly sold under the noses of police officers in the area, according to locals. The police are also aware of the drug sellers, but they do nothing to protect the younger generation from the consequences of their actions.

Villagers holding a dharna in front of the police station said that while it is the police's role to catch the disorderly elements, people would now have to do it as well. As a result, the police station has been sealed, and drug smugglers will be dealt with by the villagers themselves. Intoxicants will not be sold in the village under any circumstances, and no one will be allowed to sacrifice them.

DSP Phillaur and SHO Goraya arrived at the scene after witnessing the people's performance. He explained the situation to the residents and reassured them that the village's drug traffickers would be arrested soon. Police authorities promised that they would keep a careful eye on the area and apprehend drug dealers.
