Anti-CAA Protest: Photojournalist Ashish Raje 'Beaten up' by Police in Mumbai

Ashish Raje is also a joint secretary of the Mumbai Press Club. He was trying to cover a silent sit-in protest going on from past 12 days in ‘Mumbai Bagh’, on the lines of Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh, by women in Nagpada area.

Anti CAA protest has already been through violence and chaos throughout the country. However, Mumbai was not into the limelight for ruckus reason. However, a recent incident filmed tells a different story. Trying to cover the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act, a photojournalist named Ashish Rajewas brutally thrashed by the Police officials. 

After the video was surfaced, Maharashtra Home Minister,  Anil Deshmukh came forward and promised for strict action against those involved.
