PM Modi personally announces formation of Ayodhya temple trust. Names it Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra

Months after the Ayodhya verdict, PM Modi on Wednesday in Lok Sabha personally announced the trust's formation tasked with the building of a Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. He called it Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra.

BJP former ally, Shiv Sena was overwhelmed with the announcement. However, Congress questioned its timing and linked it with the upcoming Delhi election.

The central government was supposed to make the announcement before February 9 and inform Parliament.
