From Rs 20 lakh crore economic package to Lockdown 4.0: PM Modi's big announcement

Clarifying the date of lockdown 4.0, PM Modi said, "Based on the suggestions by states, information related to lockdown 4 will be given to you before 18th May. We will fight Corona and we will move forward."

In one of the most anticipated addresses to the nation, PM Modi on Tuesday announced many key things to come. PM Modi also cleared the air on lockdown 4.0. India. In his fifth address to the nation, PM Modi said, "Scientists say that #Corona will be a part of our lives for a very long time. But we can't let our lives remain confined around Corona. We will wear masks and maintain social distancing but we will not let it affect us. So lockdown 4 will be in a new form with new rules."

PM Modi's Economic Package To Fight Coronavirus:

Amidst the lockdown, it is the economy of the country which is suffering. And due to the downfall of India's economy, people are suffering at the paramount. In a pursuit to curb the lockdown effect on the citizens of India, PM Modi made some huge announcements. In his address, PM Modi said, "I announce a special economic package today. This will play an important role in the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan'. The announcements made by the govt over COVID, decisions of RBI & today's package totals to Rs 20 Lakh Crores. This is 10% of India's GDP."

The details of the economic package will be unveiled by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman from tomorrow. 


Manufacture of PPE Kits and Medicines in India:

PM Modi also outlined the problem of PPE kits in India. He said, "When the coronavirus outbreak began, there was negligible production of PPE kits in India. Today, every day 2 lakh PPE and 2 lakh N95 masks are being made in India. This is because India converted crisis into opportunity."

Five Pillars of India To Fight Coronavirus:

PM Modi outlined five pillars of India which will maintain equilibrium in the country in the coming days. Giving the example of the Kutch earthquake, PM Modi said that India has the spirit to pick itself up and reach new heights. "India's foundation stands on five pillars. The first is economy, the second is the infrastructure that can become the face of an advanced India, the third is our system that is based on technology-driven mechanism. Our vibrant democracy, the fourth pillar, is our strength and the fifth pillar is demand.
