New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who cracked the whip on party leaders and said no arrogance or indiscipline would be tolerated, on Tuesday said that he is looking forward to a fruitful Parliament session.

"Had a great BJP Parliamentary Party meet earlier today. A wide range of issues was discussed. Looking forward to a fruitful session ahead," the Prime Minister tweeted.
The Parliament session - first since the return of the Modi government, had begun on June 17 and will continue till July 26.

Earlier addressing the BJP Parliamentary Party meet - the first since the general elections - Mr. Modi sounded his displeasure over the VVIP culture especially in the context of the conduct of Madhya Pradesh legislator Akash Vijayvargiya, son of senior party leader Kailash Vijayvargiya.

'Beta Kisi ka bhi ho ....(He may be son of any leader....but we disapprove such actions)," Mr. Modi reportedly told the party MPs at the BJP Parliamentary meeting here.
He urged the party's lawmakers not to take law in their hands and categorically said "Man-maani nahi chalegi (arrogance and misbehavior cannot be tolerated)".

A party source later said: "Prime Minister Modiji said such arrogance and VVIP culture should stop immediately because BJP has come to power to serve people".
The Prime Minister has sounded his displeasure in the manner some leaders speak out of turn or conduct themselves before media or in public.

During the height of electioneering after BJP leader, Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur (also now sitting MP from Bhopal) made remarks on Nathu Ram Godse, Mr. Modi had sounded his displeasure and had said he would never be able to forgive her.

He has been also unhappy the manner media persons were briefed by some leaders 'out of turn' and thus during the meeting of NDA leaders after the ruling combine's election win, the Prime Minister had stated that people should refrain from making unnecessary statements.

The 34-year-old Akash Vijayvargiya, a first-time MLA who represents the Indore-3 assembly segment, was caught on TV cameras assaulting municipal officer Dhirendra Singh Bais with a cricket bat.

The episode has gone viral much to the embarrassment of the saffron party which tries to play up its slogan of the party with a difference.
