PM Modi extends lockdown till May 3, may implement Red Orange Green Zone Confinment strategy

Apart from lockdown extension PM Modi also talked on relaxation of daily wagers and poor class people

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address to the nation on April 14 announced the extension of lockdown till May 3. Several state governments have already announced lockdown extension in their states, the Centre made an announcement today and PM Modi said the lockdown has been extended till May 3.

Apart from lockdown extension PM Modi also talked on relaxation of daily wagers and poor class people. He said, "Keeping in mind the livelihoods of our poor brothers and sisters, provision of limited relaxations in identified places from 20th April has been made. Daily wagers and those who depend on daily earning are my family."

Detailed guidelines on lockdown will be issued tomorrow and focus would be on providing some relief to the poor class.

Hint On Red Orange Green Zone Strategy

Till 20th April, all districts, localities, states will be closely monitored, as to how strictly they are implementing norms. States which will not let hotspots increase, they could be allowed to let some important activities resume, but with certain conditions. By saying this PM Modi hinted on much anticiated cluster containment strategy.

The cluster containment strategy will impose restrictions on people after India lifts lockdown. As per a document of the Union Health Ministry The Cluster Containment Strategy would be to contain the disease within a defined geographic area by early detection of cases, breaking the change of transmission and thus preventing its spread to new areas.
Haryana has already adopted the cluster containment strategy on Saturday and divided its 22 districts would be divided into three zones.
