Coronavirus: PM Modi shares WhatsApp helpline numbers for information related to Covid-19

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing to the people of Varanasi via video conferencing  said the Central government has collaborated with messaging app WhatsApp to disseminate information about coronavirus. The PM said, the messaging app would provide them with credible information on coronavirus.

PM Narendra Modi also shared the WhatsApp helpline number--9013151515 to get information and clear myths on coronavirus. To get any information on Covid-19, all you have to do is send a 'Namaste' to this number on WhatsApp.

Addressing the residents of Varanasi, his Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi said, "Govt has formed a help desk, in collaboration with WhatsApp, to seek correct information about Coronavirus. If you have access to WhatsApp you can use the number 9013151515 for the purpose."

Speaking of coronavirus, PM Narendra Modi said the battle of Mahabharata was won in 18 days while the war against coronavirus will take 21 days.

"Mahabharat war was won in 18 days, this war the whole country is fighting against #corona will take 21 days. Our aim is to win this war in 21 days," said PM Modi.

Video conferencing is PM Modi's first public engagement after the announcement of the lockdown where he thanked  and expressed gratitude towards people for taking out time for the interaction.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown in the entire country to deal with the spread of coronavirus, saying that "social distancing" is the only option to deal with the disease, which spreads rapidly. The PM in his address also said that there is dire need to break the chain of the disease and experts have said that at least 21 days are needed for it.
