After the reports of OIC raising questions on Kashmir and hurling accusations of Human Rights violations, Qatar's Emir called Prime Minister Narendra Modi and spoke to him about terrorism and bilateral relations.
Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Ahmad bin Khalifa Al Thani also spoke about India's presence in the OIC meet.
PM Modi emphasized the great significance of the Indo-Qatar relations saying Qatar is "our close friend and with which we share an extended neighbourhood".
PM Modi thanked the Emir for his cooperation and guidance in the recent years which has rapidly strengthened the bilateral ties.
