Prime Minister Narendra Modi launches the vaccine drivetoday and urges people not to fall for rumors.

With a new motto , 'Dawai bhi, Kadai bhi' (Vaccine aswelll as discipline), the PM urges people to stay cautious even after gettingvaccine. He also asked people to follow all protocols such as wearing masks andmaintaining physical distancing.

Expected to be the largest vaccination drives, India setsto vaccinate 3 crore healthcare and front line workers. Covaxin and Covishield,both the vaccines got emergency approval and both are two dose vaccines.

Amid the controversy erupted over the Bhart Biotech'sCovaxin, whose Phase 3 results are still awaited, the PM urged people not tofall for propaganda.

PM said, "Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) gaveapproval after they were satisfied with the data of the two vaccine, so stayaway from rumours."

He further invokes the credibility factor of Indianvaccines by saying that 60% vaccines given to Children are made in India.

Recalling the tough times when people could not attendthe last rites of their family members and were separated after they wereinfected, the PM said, "In times of crisis, some were giving us hope. Theywere putting themselves at risk- doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulancedrivers, etc."

The PM also said that it takes years to develop vaccinesbut in a short time, two made in India vaccines were developed.

After the PM launches the vaccine drive, over 3 lakhhealth care workers are expected to receive the vaccine on the first day.
