Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his monthly 'Mann Ki Baat' said the nation was shocked to see the insult of Tricolor on Republic day. Farmers protesting against the contentious farm laws of the government carried out their tractor parade coinciding with Republic day parade on January 26.
However, things got an ugly turn when two flags were hoisted on an empty flag-post.
According to farmers, the tricolor was not taken off the flag post. They also allege that they didn't insult the national flag of India. Meanwhile, during protests, farmers were seen carrying national flag atop their tractors and vehicles.
The Mann Ki Baat program also turned controversial last year in August when the program got more dislikes and less likes on YouTube.
