How to apply for UP Police Constable Recruitment 2023?

  • No age relaxation has been given in UP Police Constable Recruitment as has been demanded for a long time.
  • For these posts, the qualification of 12th pass (inter pass) has been sought. If the marks of two or more candidates are equal then candidates with O level from DOEC, NCC B certificate, and two years of service experience in the Territorial Army will get preference.

Age Limitation

  •  For Men – 18 years to 22 years. For Women – 18 years to 25 years. SC, ST, and OBC category candidates will be given a relaxation of 5 years in the maximum age. Age will be calculated from 1st July 2023.
  • That is, such male candidates who were born not before 2 July 2001 and not after 1 July 2005 can apply.
  • That is, such female candidates who were born not before 2 July 1998 and not after 1 July 2005 can apply.

Physical Requirement

For men

  • The height of General, OBC, SC category candidates should be at least 168 cm. There should be. Chest should be at least 79 cm without expansion. And when expanded it is at least 84 cm.
  • Height of ST category candidates should be 160 cm. There should be. Chest should be at least 77 cm without expansion. And when expanded it is at least 82 cm.

For Women

  • Height of General, OBC, SC category candidates should be at least 152 cm. There should be. - Height of ST category candidates should be at least 147 cm. There should be.
  • Weight should be at least 40 kg

Selection Process

  •  Written Examination and Document Verification and Physical Test (Test).
  • UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam will be conducted in offline mode on the OMR sheet. That means the exam will not be computer mode (CBT) type. There will be objective-type questions and circles that have to be filled in, on the OMR sheet.
  • The written examination will be of 300 marks. There were questions on general knowledge, general Hindi, numerical and mental ability, mental aptitude, IQ and logical ability. There will be total 150 questions.

Exam pattern

 

  • There will also be negative marks on wrong answers. 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. If two or more candidates have equal marks, preference will be given to those candidates who have an NCC B Certificate or DOEC O Level or two years of experience in the Territorial Army. If there is nothing in it then those who are older will be placed higher in merit.

Physical test

  • Candidates who pass the written examination will be called for physical tests. Men will have to run 4.8 km in 25 minutes and women will have to run 2.4 km in 14 minutes.

Reservation Criteria

  • Reservation will be available only to natives of UP. Marks will be normalized if the examination is conducted in more than one shift or on more than one date. The result will be obtained through the normalization method.
  • The final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written examination. There will be no interview in this recruitment. No waiting list will be prepared.
