Police Encounter with Kaushal Gang goon in Mohali; shot thrice in the knee, hospitalised

A police encounter took place between Mohali Special Cell and Kaushal Gang goons in Lakhnoor village of Mohali. The gangster was identified as Banwari Pal, resident of Agra, and was shot three times in his knee, according to reports. Gangster Banwari is currently wanted the extortion and firing case in Hoshiarpur.

 

Adressing the Media, Mohali SSP Sandeep Garg informs that the special cell had received information that two individuals were roaming on their motorcycle in the area. The teams were promptly dispatched and a search was started in the area. They saw a motorcycle moving towards the team and signalled the riders to stop, but they instead the accused opened fire at the police team. When the police retaliated, the gangster was shot in the leg. The injured has been admitted to the civil hospital but his accomplice fled the scene. He informs that search for the other miscreant is currently underway.

 

Garg further informs that Banwari Pal belongs to Agra, UP and is affiliated with the Kaushal Gang. He is reportedly wanted for a shooting in Malpur, Hoshiarpur about 15 days ago. There were 3 shooters involved in that incident of which Banwari was one.
