Jalandhar police has issued a strict warning to all the shopkeepers near the PPR mall in Jalandhar, asking them to not serve liquor to anyone in the open.
The reason provided by the police is that consumption of alcohol results in a ruckus in the market, which acts as a nuisance for the law and order situation in the area.
The police has further warned that an FIR will be fined against all found to be partaking in distribution of liquor, including both the seller and the consumer.
All the restaurant owners have assuredly informed the police that no liquor will be served out in the open.
