New Delhi, Jan 8: Continuing his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government on the Rafale deal, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday charged them with failing to pay the dues of the state owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, forcing the company to borrow Rs 1000 crore for payment of salaries to its staff.

He also charged the Defence Minister of lying in Parliament and having  refused to answer questions posed by him.

In a post on social media, Mr said, ''The PM pays 20,000 crore to Dassault before a single RAFALE is delivered but refuses to pay HAL 15,700 crore  it is owed, forcing it to borrow 1,000 crore to pay salaries."

Meanwhile, the RM spins lie after lie but cannot answer my questions.

He posted on his Twitter account a video of his press conference on Monday in which he had charged the defence minister of lying again on the awarding of Rs 1  lakh crore worth of defence contracts to HAL.
