Director Vishu further confirmed that actor Prabhas will be part of his upcoming film "Kannappa."
Since this announcement, rumours about Prabhas playing Lord Shiva in the movie have been rampant after portraying Lord Rama in his previous movie “Adipurush”. However, no official confirmation regarding Prabhas's character has been provided by the filmmakers so far.
Notably, South Asian trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared a post on his official social media account, stating that Prabhas will indeed be part of 'Kannappa: The True Epic Tale of India'. This collaboration between Prabhas and filmmaker Vishnu Manchu has garnered significant interest among fans.
In his response to Ramesh's post, Vishnu wrote, "Har Har Mahadev," sparking rumours that Prabhas might play Lord Shiva.
In addition, Nupur Sanon, Kriti Sanon's sister, is set to play the lead role in the film. The filming of "Kannappa" will most likely take place in New Zealand, where special sets have been prepared.
As per the update, while the shooting for "Kannappa" is set to commence soon, Prabhas also has another highly anticipated project titled "Salaar" on the horizon. 'Salaar', which was initially scheduled for a September release, has now been postponed, and the new release date is expected to be in November, although no official update has been provided by the makers.
Apart from "Salaar,” Prabhas will also be seen in "Project K" alongside Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. "Project K" is all set to release on January 12 next year on 2024. After the blockbuster "Baahubali: The Conclusion," Prabhas's fans have high hopes for his upcoming films.
