The UP class 10 topper was targeted by trolls who commented on her natural facial hair instead of focusing on her outstanding achievements.

Youth Extra Lens Prachi-Nigam

Prachi Nigam is a student coming from Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh. In 2024 she cleared the UP-Board Class 10 Exams with outstanding marks. But people have been hostile towards her online because they think that she looks too much like a man. As mentioned earlier, Prachi has scored an incredible 98.50% marks in Class 10th board exams and has topped the board chart as well. She worked very hard and deserves all the accolades.

However, despite being good at school, some individuals were hurtful to her via social media. They commented on her appearance and even referred to her as ‘manly’. These trolls demonstrate how people still believe in old-fashioned gender stereotypes that are no longer relevant.

This makes us reflect on what we think about girls’ looks. She demonstrates that being a girl or boy is immaterial once you have learned. Her success should enable others feel free enough to go after their dreams without minding other’s opinions.

As someone who is not bothered by cyberbullying, Prachi remains strong during this phase of her life. According to her, she believes in her family and her teachers first. She has achieved a monumental academic feat till now. Even though "haters" try to bring her down, she doesn't lose her focus and keeps doing excellent work. But, now as top scorer of UP Board, how does Prachi negate those negative remarks? This indicates that she is extremely resilient and persistent through thick and thin.
