The campaign of political parties is in the last phase as the countdown for voting in the Punjab Elections 2022 has begun. Now, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi & Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi have now come under the scanner of social media and both of them are getting criticised for a hateful speech against the people of UP, Bihar, and Delhi.

In the viral video, Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi can be heard speaking in Punjabi that he will not let enter people of UP, Bihar and Delhi enter Punjab. Not only this, but Channi also used 'Bhayajii' slur for people of UP and Bihar. On this, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra can be seen cheering and applauding Channi over his remarks.

As soon as the video went viral, netizens, as well as the BJP, lashed out at Punjab CM Channi and Priyanka Gandhi. Not only this, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal too lashed out at Priyanka Gandhi and Charanjit Singh and reminded Mrs. Vadra that she is also from UP and therefore she is also a 'Bhayaji'. "It is very shameful. We strongly condemn comments aimed at any individual or any particular community. Priyanka Gandhi also belongs to UP so she is also a 'bhaiya'," said Arivind Kejriwal.

Notably, Charanjit Singh Channi is the Congress’s official chief ministerial candidate in the Punjab election. His CM candidature was announced by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi earlier this month following a tele-voting conducted by the party. He secured more votes than Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was pressing his nomination as the CM candidate for long.
