In her three day boat-campaign on the Ganga river, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a dig at the recent 'Main bhi Chowkidar' campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying, "Chowkidars are for the rich, not farmers," indirectly taking a jibe at the BJP leaders as well who, on Sunday, added a prefix 'Chowkidar' to their Twitter handles.
"Yesterday I met with a group of farmers... The potato farmers of western UP. One of the farmers told me, chowkidars are for the rich. We farmers are our own chowkidars," said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.

Prime Minister Modi had last week started the campaign which has been attacked by Congress leaders including the Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
PM Modi had tweeted: "My best wishes to all you chowkidars. Very pleased with your enthusiasm. Owing to your watchfulness corruption is on the wane and thieves are feeling the pain".
Priyanka Gandhi has entered the political arena of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from where he won the seat for MP and became the Prime Minister.
"This country is yours, this democracy is yours and even this politics is yours. It is only because of people that we exist. There can be no Priyanka Gandhi without you people," said Priyanka Gandhi emphasizing the role of masses.
