The gunfire continues in the Punjab's district of Jalandhar. The case of firing in Saipur, which falls under Thana Division No-8 had not yet cooled down that again a firing occurred on the Kishanpura-Lamma Pind road. Bullets were fired in this location during a property dispute. The firing is said to have been carried out by Lakshya Verma, proprietor of BMS Fashion on Lamma Pind Road, along with his brother and associates.

The owner of the house where the shooting occurred, Rajni, said that Lakshya Verma had encroached on her shops. He demands the ownership documentation for the land on which the shops are built. He frequently quarrels about it. On the night of shooting, Lakshya was standing on the road drinking beer with his friends and brother Pratham Verma around 12:30 a.m. First he started abusing and then started shooting.
