Delhi Congress leader Devendra Yadav reached the state for the first time on a 4-day tour after being made in-charge of Punjab Congress. After reaching Amritsar, he paid obeisance at the Golden Temple. Apart from Punjab President Raja Warring, Congress Legislature Party leaders Pratap Singh Bajwa and Navjot Sidhu also arrived to welcome him.

However, during this period, Warring and Sidhu did not fail at targeting each other. Warring said that there is no factionalism in Congress. But even in a family there are small differences. They will strengthen Congress with teamwork.

When he was asked about Navjot Sidhu’s statement to stop the 80:20 (80% ruling party in the government, 20% will be for the opposition) in the Bathinda rally, on this Warring said that this is Sidhu's statement, so it is all on him. Warring said that he has no objection to anyone holding a rally anywhere, but everyone will have to remain within the confines of the law, otherwise action will be taken.

Navjot Sidhu countered by saying that a leader should be the one who can be trusted. He doesn’t care what anyone says against him.

Devendra Yadav paid obeisance at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. While talking to the media, Devendra Yadav has clarified that right now he will not say anything regarding seat sharing with AAP. He says that first they will confer and then speak on this issue.

Yadav faces two big issues in Punjab. In which the alliance with AAP regarding Lok Sabha and the rift between former chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and other leaders who are holding separate rallies is to be resolved. Sidhu held a second rally in Bathinda after interpreting a warning gesture from Punjab Congress chief Warring. After this, the next rally was announced on January 9 in Hoshiarpur.

Yadav will hold a meeting with all the leaders in Chandigarh. He said that Congress was strong, is strong and will remain so in the future. Congress will be tackling the issues in Punjab with full strength. He further said that the organization has emerged from strength under the supervision of Raja Warring. This is his first visit and according to him, there will be talks with all the officials in Chandigarh.

Devendra Yadav is in Punjab till January 11 and for the next three days he will continuously hold meetings in the Chandigarh state office. He has called for separate meetings with the senior leadership, State Executive Committee and state heads, in which issues related to Punjab will be discussed. His first priority will remain the Lok Sabha elections 2024.

A meeting of INDIA alliance is going to be held in Delhi today. In which there is going to be a discussion on seat sharing between Congress and AAP in Delhi and Punjab. Indian National Congress has started preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but MPs Ravneet Bittu and Navjot Singh Sidhu, the leaders of Punjab Congress are not ready to accept this alliance. This can also be discussed with Punjab Congress leaders during the meetings to be held in Chandigarh on Tuesday and suggestions can also be taken from them.

The big challenge for Devendra Yadav is Navjot Singh Sidhu's separation from PPCC. PPCC chief, opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa and senior leaders have already raised objections on this.
