Many important trains, including Shan-e-Punjab, connecting Punjab to Delhi, have been cancelled, while operations of many trains including Shatabdi have been affected. These trains are being sent back from Ludhiana. Due to the disruption of more than 50 important trains, passengers from Ludhiana to Amritsar are facing a lot of problems. These problems will be relieved to a great extent after January 8.
According to the information given by the railways, repair work is being done on the Ladhowal track near Ludhiana, due to which multiple trains will remain affected for the next few days. Trains like 12029-12030 Swarn Shatabdi and 12031-12032 Amritsar Shatabdi will start their operations for Jalandhar and Amritsar after January 8.
The operation of Shan-e-Punjab 12497-12498 will also start from January 9, which will provide relief to the passengers. Railway officials say that the above information is according to the schedule, but there can be changes at the last moment, so rail passengers should get updated information about their trains before leaving so that they do not face any problem or trouble.
Talking about delay of trains, according to the late-night update, 19416 Sabarmati Express reached the city station after 9 o'clock, 2 hours late from its scheduled time of 7 o'clock. Additionally, 12716 Sachkhand Express was seen showing a delay of 15 hours from 6.35 in the morning.
Apart from this, many other trains including Jammu Mail were also running late from their scheduled time, which was causing trouble for the passengers. According to the information, the operation of the trains which were affected till January 7 has started.
On Tuesday, buses were also closed and trains were also affected, due to which passengers had to face problems on both sides. Due to delay in trains, many passengers were seen going from the station to the bus stand, but after reaching there, buses were not available as well, due to which the passengers had to return to the station. Due to this many passengers left for their journey by taking taxis.
