Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav in action: Raids against drug peddlers and gangsters in the state

Raids are being conducted in different districts of Punjab to catch drug peddlers and gangsters.

Punjab's new DGP Gaurav Yadav has taken action against gangsters and drug dealers in the state. The police have raided different districts. This atmosphere is being seen for the first time in the state, after the replacement of former DGP Dinkar Gupta. The main motive behind this action is to end crime in Punjab.

Raids are being conducted by the Punjab Police under DGP Gaurav Yadav’s leadership. 
DGP Gaurav Yadav had joined ADGP Law and Order Ishwar Singh in Mohali to conduct operation in different societies.

ADGP Arpit Shukla said that as per the instructions of DGP Gaurav Yadav, police across the state have started cracking down on gangsters and drug smugglers. A special operation is being launched by the police against criminals and the action will continue in the future also. Arpit Shukla said that Punjab has to be made better by getting rid of these criminals.

A raid was also conducted in Kingra Chowala village, Bhogpur. The police recovered 15 grams of heroin, and other narcotics, and arrested a woman. The people of the village say that their village has been blacklisted due to drug dealers.

The SSP, Rural Police Jalandhar, Swapan Sharma said that the raid was carried out on the basis of strict instructions of senior officers and complaints received from the villagers. Drugs and other narcotics have been recovered from the houses of the village where the police raided. 

Mansa Police also conducted Special Search Operations (CASO) on a Mass Scale against Bad elements and Drug Peddlers in City Mansa.
