Punjab: Follow THESE routes to avoid heavy traffic amidst Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra

No heavy traffic will be allowed towards Doraha from Neelon Bridge,Tibba Bridge,Gurthali Bridge.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra marked its first day in Punjab on Tuesday. He reached Amritsar’s Golden Temple by helicopter at 12 noon and sought blessings before resuming Yatra in the state. Before starting the yatra on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi first paid obeisance at the Gurdwara at Fatehgarh Sahib. He was seen wearing a red turban while addressing the people during Yatra. The security of Congress leader has been beefed up after receiving multiple threats from gangsters.

Reportedly, heavy traffic will be witnessed on NH-44 on 11th January 2023 due to which routes have been diverted for the convenience of people. As per information, heavy Vehicle traffic from Ambala, Rajpura towards Ludhiana will be diverted via Banur-Kharar-Samrala-Ludhiana. Heavy Vehicle traffic from Gobindgarh towards Ludhiana will be diverted to Amloh-Bhadson-Nabha-Malerkotla-Ludhiana. Heavy Vehicle traffic from Nawanshahr and Machhiwara towards Ambala/Delhi will be diverted to Khamanon-Morinda.

On 12th January also, some of the routes will remain diverted from NH-44. Traffic from Ambala to Ludhiana will be diverted from Samrala Chowk at Khanna towards Samrala-Neelon-Kohara-Ludhiana. Traffic from Ambala to Jalandhar will be diverted from Samrala Chowk at Khanna towards Samrala-Machhiwara-Nawanshahr-Jalandhar. Traffic from Ludhiana to Ambala will be diverted from Sahnewal-Kohara-Samrala-Khanna-Ambala. According to instructions, no heavy traffic is allowed towards Doraha from Neelon Bridge,Tibba Bridge,Gurthali Bridge.
