In the age of social media, people tend to do extreme things in order to get name and fame. In doing so, sometimes the same people breach the law & order of the country. In India, the Police have been vigilant against people who perform to students or adopts dangerous celebration which might turn out to be a fatal accident. A similar kind of incident came to the fore on Wednesday when a girl apparently celebrating her 1 million 'views or followers' on a moving Thar video went viral on social media. The incident took place in Punjab's Hoshiarpur district where a girl sat on the bonnet of moving Thar to make a reel for her social media followers. In the viral video, the girl was seen making reels for her Instagram followers and she also danced on the roof of the moving SUV on the National Highway. The incident occurred near Dasuya in Hoshiarpur district.
After the girl's video went viral on social media, Dasuya Police swung into action under Motor Vehicle Act and even seized the Thar car on which the girl was making reels. The details of the car owner by the viral video was traced by the cops through the car's registration number plate. Hoshiarpur Police then took to its official X handle and shared a detailed update on Hoshiarpur girl Thar reel incident.
Hoshiarpur Police in its statement informed that they immediately acted on the information received through social media about violating the traffic rules by sitting on the bonnet of the Thar vehicle in Dasuha and took action by taking the Thar vehicle into the possession of the police under the traffic rules. The cops also warned them not to do such a thing in the future. Hoshiarpur Police concluded the statement saying, "The Punjab Police is always at your service and appeals to all the citizens to cooperate with the Punjab Police in performing their duties properly."
