Punjab Government has declared March 29, i.e. tomorrow as a holiday across the state in Punjab. In the calendar released by the government, a holiday has been declared on the occasion of Good Friday, under which government schools, colleges and other government institutions will remain closed.
Good Friday is a Christian holiday commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum. It is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Great and Holy Friday, and Black Friday.
